Welcome to Peak 2015
Welcome to Peak 2015
Welcome to the Peak 2015 website. Thanks for dropping by.
We are extremely pleased that the 9th Peak Camp will be taking place in the grounds of the beautiful and famous Chatsworth House estate in Derbyshire.
The first Peak Camp took place in 1974 and became a 'five-yearly' event from 1980 all by kind permission of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. Peak Camps have grown over the years and are now extremely well known locally, nationally and internationally.
Angela Kettlewell (GirlGuiding Derbyshire) and Adey Greaves (Derbyshire Scouts) have been working since December 2011 as Organiser and Deputy respectively.
The management team have been in place since July 2012 and plans are well under way for the next camp. We expect over 6,000 people to take part in one of the most exciting Scout & Guide camps in the World where they will make new friends, have the opportunity to take part in new and exciting activities and experience a truly unique atmosphere.
This website will be changing regularly and as we approach the camp there will be more information for participants, leaders and staff - why not bookmark it, or better still make it your homepage!
Don't forget to follow us on Twitter (@thepeakcamp) and Facebook for regular updates, info or to make friends with people who will be at camp.
Meet the team.
